Gloria and The Caron Keating Foundation would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who donated monies to the Foundation instead of floral tributes, at the request of Gordon’s family, on his very sad passing. The amount raised, shows how much Gordon was loved and appreciated by his many friends.
Gordon was one of the most revered watercolour artists in the UK. Gloria first met Gordon in Northern Ireland in the 70’s and opened one of his art exhibitions in Belfast. Since then he has been a great friend of the family. When Caron sadly lost her seven year battle with Cancer, Gordon was one of the first people on the telephone to say how heart broken he was.
When The Caron Keating Foundation was setup, again Gordon was first in line to offer support and ways of raising money for the Foundation. He did this by painting on canvas, twelve beautiful Angels, which in turn were also made into greeting cards and published.
All of this plus his deep commitment, raised a lot of money towards helping Charities dealing with all kinds of Cancer all over the country.
We will miss Gordon tremendously, but will never forget his jovial and willing personality, and of course his solid friendship.
We send our best wishes and love always to Mary, his children and grandchildren.
